VIOLET RICHARDSON AWARD

At Soroptimist International of Lincoln, we believe in empowering young women like you to live their dreams.

Are you a young woman between the ages of 13 and 19 who sees challenges as opportunities for growth and change?

Do you believe in the power of volunteer action to transform despair into hope and obstacles into stepping stones for a better future?

If so, the Violet Richardson Award is calling your name. This prestigious award is a tribute to the spirit of volunteerism and the incredible impact young women like you can make in your communities and beyond. Named after Violet Richardson, the president of the first Soroptimist club in Alameda County in 1921, this award carries the legacy of a remarkable woman who believed that it’s what you do that truly counts.

Just like Richardson, you have the power to make a difference. We’re passionate about nurturing future leaders who are vital, active members of their communities. By acknowledging and celebrating your volunteer efforts, we hope to inspire a lifelong commitment to service and advocacy for gender equality.

The Violet Richardson Award honors young women who are caring, compassionate, creative, and above all, committed to making the world a better place. We invite applicants who have demonstrated leadership and initiative in identifying and addressing community needs, particularly those affecting women and girls.

Whether you’ve led a campaign to raise awareness on gender issues, volunteered at a women’s shelter, or initiated a community project to tackle a local problem, your actions showcase the qualities of leadership and initiative that this award celebrates.

If you live, study, or work in the greater Lincoln community and have made significant and noteworthy contributions as a volunteer, we encourage you to apply.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be recognized for your hard work, dedication, and positive impact in your community.

Remember, the steps you take to make a difference genuinely matter. The Violet Richardson Award is not just an honor; it’s a celebration of your commitment to volunteerism and your efforts to create a brighter future for our community and the world.

Apply now, and let’s continue building a world where every young woman can turn her volunteer actions into lasting change.
